We were visited recently by 3 awesome Target employees who were here to volunteer and help out in the Well-Mart Donation Center. Special thanks to Celina Broussard, Daja Williams, and Keely Richard for doing such a great job! Special thanks to Lorie Reutling, Jackie Duplechine, Sandra Domingue and all the generous members of the City Club who included our Outreach kids on their Angel Tree! Their generosity certainly helped brighten many Christmas' this year.

Petroquest Energy
The Outreach Center was fortunate enough to receive a very nice donation from Petroquest Energy this year. We received a check and a ton of toys. Thanks Peggi, Bond, Todd, Deryl and everyone at Petroquest!!

Basketballs for Christmas!
We were fortunate to receive a fun donation from the Lafayette Area Basketball Referees Association recently. They brought us 20 new basketballs to add to Santa's toy bag for Christmas. Thanks to Robert Guillory and all the guys at LABOA!

Thank you for helping us fill Santa's toy bag!
Every Christmas morning Santa Claus makes a special stop at the Acadiana Outreach Center to bring the less fortunate little girls and boys of Acadiana a gift during our Christmas meal...and once again you helped us fill his bag! We teamed up with KMDL 97.3 The Dawg and Pippin McGee to host a toy drive and the results were humbling...thank you for your generosity! Here's a few heart-felt words from a single mother with four children has to say: "Because of this toy drive, my children were able to have a happy Christmas. Now they have toys to play with....toys that I can't give them right now. It's truly a blessing."

Building Blocks of Service: Thank you to the Wolf Den of Cub Scout Pack #371!
This wonderfully energetic group of boys built these sets of building blocks as a holiday service project. They visited the Outreach Center recently to drop off their very generous donation and we enjoyed meeting them all. Special thanks to Pack Leader Mr. Richard Spoon.

Special thanks to the ExamOne staff for collecting food items to feed the families of our Lighthouse Women’s & Children’s Shelter. Last year the Lighthouse provided 32 families with emergency shelter. The Outreach Center walks hand in hand with the shelter residents guiding them to self-sufficiency by helping them access safe housing, employment and optimal mental & physical health.

The Outreach Center was fortunate to have the St. Pius 3rd grade Brownie Troop 377 stop by with items they collected from their homes to learn about the importance of recylcing goods to help the enviornment. Troop 377, pictured above, stopped by our Well-Mart where Ms. Adele, the Well-Mart & Closet manager, spoke with them about the intake process of the donations the Outreach Center receives. Once they learned the process of items we intake they unpacked the itmes they brought and saved them in the Well-Mart in order to earn a badge for their troop.

The AT&T Telecom Pioneers Life Members took part in "Make A Difference Day" by delivering several bags of clothes, shoes, coats, toilet tissue and paper towels to Acadiana Outreach. By cleaning out our closets, we not only help our selves by making room in our homes but these items (in good condition) are distributed to the needy by Acadiana Outreach.
